Production Manager
Position : Production Manager (Part-Time)
The Production Manager provides oversight for the full life cycle (all phases) of our flooring projects including coordinating material & equipment and ensuring all specifications are being followed, and making sure work is proceeding on schedule & within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between clients and company to assist the sales team with all necessary modifications to ensure projects remain profitable.
- Communicate with mills and distributors to determine the availability of products, track materials for jobs, and confirm all needed equipment is on-site prior to crew arrival.
- Responsible for the submittal process including samples, maintenance, and warranty information.
- Responsible for ordering and expediting materials and tracking orders
- Perform consistent, timely follow-up with suppliers.
- Make freight arrangements for product shipments in the most expeditious and cost-effective manner.
- Liaise with the Warehouse Manager on tracking and shipments.
- Track and control schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within the time and budget allocated.
- Coordinate all change orders in writing and track changes to ensure proper completion and billing.
- Maintain required documentation in job folders and on the computer system to support the projects.
- Assemble all information relating to the projects.
- Prepare job folder for invoicing.
- Review for extras and change orders, determine freight charges, verify for accuracy, and submit to Accounts Receivable.
- Report to the Sales Team and CEO about progress and any necessary plan modifications.
- Communicate job schedules to coordinate with the client, Sales Associate, and/or Estimator, as needed.
- Determine steps necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Respond with urgency and flexibility to meet frequently changing project schedules.
- Monitor installations for meeting schedules and quality standards
- Approve installation bills.
- Review and evaluate all installer bills for accuracy
- Receive punch list and repair calls.
- Determine responsibility for repairs.
- Prepare cost estimates if necessary.
- Review invoices and charge back to primary installers accordingly.

Qualifications:
- Experience in Project Management: Proven experience in project management, preferably in the flooring or construction industry, with a strong understanding of project lifecycle management and logistics.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and convey project status updates and modifications.
- Organizational and Analytical Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, analyze project data, and make informed decisions to ensure project success.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to anticipate and address challenges, mitigate risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
